Based in New Jersey, Alex Perchuk has served as the director of pharmacy with Thriftway Pharmacy since 1988. He manages all aspects of a retail pharmacy group with independent locations across the New York City metro area. Alex Perchuk supervises personnel and provides logistics and infrastructure leadership, emphasizing collaboration as a key ingredient to operational success.
Professionally, Mr. Perchuk has served on the Cardinal Health Retail Advisory board and sits on the board of Perthera, which is developing AI precision medicine solutions. Active with the Pharmacists Society of State of New York board, he served as president and chairman of the association’s largest affiliate, the New York City Pharmacists Society.
Mr. Perchuk completed his bachelor’s degree in pharmacy at the Arnold & Marie Schwartz College of Long Island University. He has maintained a connection with the institution, serving on the Admissions Committee and screening potential enrollees at his alma mater. Mr. Perchuk has also established a scholarship fund for those planning to pursue pharmacy careers and serves as vice president of the school’s Pharmacy Alumni Association.
